Christina Dingman

My name is Christina Dingman, and I have been a proud member of our district since 2009, serving in a variety of roles including noon hour supervisor, educational assistant, office assistance, and am currently an administrative secretary. These experiences have given me a well-rounded understanding of the diverse challenges our members face every day.

I am running for Union President because I believe it’s time for a new perspective-one that truly listens, represents, and unites every voice in our membership. Too often, individuals feel unheard or left behind. I want to change that by creating an environment where all members feel supported, informed, and empowered.

As your president, I will prioritize transparency, open communication, and collaboration. I believe in the strength of a unified body and the power of fresh ideas. Together, we can build a stronger union that reflects the needs and values of every member- regardless of their role or how long they've been with the district.

It would be an honor to serve as your voice and advocate for meaningful progress. Let’s move forward-together.

Deb Todd

I am Deb Todd I am running for president of local 1990. I have held this position for four years. I have been on many union committees including social, professional growth, and bargaining. I have been the Alberta rep for EFAP at national level. I have held the union positions of site rep, area director and vice president within our local. I have worked for Calgary Catholic for 27 years. I have held the positions of lunchroom aide, EA, Aboriginal Pride coordinator, I now hold the position of Indigenous Liaison. I believe my experience enhances my skill set in supporting all our members.

In the last few years, the executive has formed a committee to address the classroom concerns. This has resulted in an update of EA profiles. We are addressing any glitches as they come up.  We have also seen the amount of work secretaries are doing. There are now more office assistants going to be assigned. You will be able to take your breaks and lunches going forward. We also work with learning services to provide meaningful PG for EAs. We also worked with the district PG committee to help with needs assessment for meaningful PG as well as advocating more PG days.

The next 3 years we will be continuing to work on the position profiles. Noon hour EA as well as elementary secretaries are just a few of the positions we are looking at.  We also will be working on bargaining a contract for Franco Sud in the coming months.

I ask for your support in re-election. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.
