Please join us in congratulating Maria-Jose and Jamillah in their successful election. We would like to extend our gratitude and respect to Daniel and Laura for their commitment to our union and running in the election.  We sincerely thank all members who participated in this election—through running, voting, and encouraging others to engage. Your involvement made this process a success and is a testament to the strength and unity of our Local.

To our new Workplace Representatives: your role is critical. You are now representatives of the union and its values—solidarity, fairness, and advocacy. Members will look to you for support and guidance, and you will be expected to uphold the standards and principles of our union in both your words and actions. You report directly to your Unit Chair, Erica Kelly and will work closely within the union structure to support your colleagues and ensure our contract is respected every day.

While Maria-Jose and Jamillah have been elected, please note that they cannot begin their official duties until they have completed union training, which will be offered over the coming weeks. This training is essential to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to represent you effectively and responsibly. More information will be sent directly to the successful candidates in the coming days outlining the training schedule, expectations, and responsibilities associated with the role. Please continue to reach out to your Unit Chair, Erica Kelly for all union related questions and support.  Her email is @email

This is the power of union solidarity in action. Let’s continue to support each other and work together to build a stronger workplace for everyone.
