Daniel Morris

Daniel Morris, CSA

I believe I would make a strong representative because I lead with empathy, listen without judgment, and clearly articulate my colleagues’ concerns, ideas, and suggestions. I understand how important it is for our voices to be heard and for our concerns to be taken seriously, and I’m ready to advocate for all of us with integrity, transparency, and respect. I am approachable, calm, and fair. Whether it’s a small concern or a larger issue, I will always make time to listen and follow through. As a Workplace Representative, my goal is to help build a more positive, respectful, and informed work environment, where we all feel valued, protected, and empowered.

I’ve been with WestJet for 3 years, and throughout that time, I’ve developed a strong understanding of our workplace culture, challenges, and the unique dynamics of our roles. I’ve built great relationships with colleagues across different departments, and I want to use that experience to help represent the voices of my colleagues effectively. I’m incredibly proud to have grown with WestJet, from starting as a placement student to now being a Customer Service Agent. That journey has given me a deep appreciation for our culture, our people, and the challenges we face on the frontlines. In addition to my role as a CSA, I am also an active member of the Diversity and Inclusivity Committee, where I help promote a welcoming, and inclusive environment for all WestJetters.

I held the title of a prefect, deputy head boy and senior advisor for my school. Representing and advocating on behalf of my colleagues.

Maria-Jose Bouey

Maria-Jose Bouey, CSA

I am truly honoured to be nominated alongside such incredible colleagues. For those who may not know me, my name is Maria-José (MJ), and I am a full-time Customer Service Agent based at YYZ. I joined WestJet in 2018 and quickly became passionate about ensuring our voices as frontline workers are heard and respected.

In 2022, I had the privilege of being elected to serve on the first Bargaining Committee for Unifor YYZ. That experience not only deepened my understanding of the bargaining process but also strengthened my commitment to advocacy. During that time, I had the opportunity to serve as an interim base representative, which gave me valuable insight into what it truly means to represent and support our colleagues.Today, while I am not currently a workplace representative, I proudly serve as your elected Trustee for YYZ on the Executive Board. In this role, I’ve continued to stay connected with many of you—listening, learning, and working together to find solutions, offer support, and elevate our concerns.

With this nomination, I bring forward my continued dedication to being someone you can count on—someone who will represent you with transparency, determination, and most of all care. Thank you for the nomination and opportunity to stand alongside you and for you.  Congratulations to all the nominees! I am thrilled to see engagement and outstanding agents brought forward!

Be well, Maria-José

Hi! My name is Laura and I've been with WestJet for 3 years and 2 months. My base is YYZ and currently my roles are CSA, and DDC relief.

I want to be a workplace representative because I want to make sure everyone’s voice is heard and that we all get fair treatment and adequate support in the workplace. I believe in open communication, standing up for what’s right, and working together to create a better environment for everyone.

I'm ready to listen, represent our concerns, and push for positive change

Jamillah Mensah

Jamillah Mensah, GSL-B

My name is Jamillah Mensah and I am seeking to be elected as one of your 2025 Workplace Reps.  I have worked at Pearson International Airport for 13 years, and almost 3 years of which have been with Westjet. At Westjet, I have had the opportunity to work both above and below the wing. I started my journey as a CSA and BSA relief and now currently hold the position as a GSLB, DDC relief and CSA relief. I am also your BIWOC Committee Representative. I am a Jill of many trades as I also come from an almost decade long legal background where advocacy was my speciality especially in human rights matters. Throughout my past employment and educational background I have become literate in the understanding and application of pertinent legislation including but not not limited to the Employment Standards Act and the Human Rights Code to name a couple. I am passionate about our rights as members and employees and I am here to be a strong advocate. I come with no fluff, your concerns are my concerns and I am not afraid to challenge the system. I am here to stand beside you to seek out solutions and resolutions that work in favour for the greater good. I am here to listen and to bring your concerns forward. As a nominee I welcome all suggestions and dialogue for what you as members are seeking. I welcome the challenge that comes with being your Workplace Rep and look forward to supporting you as members if I am elected.
